KARACHI (HRNW): SriLankan Airlines has announced the resumption of limited flight operations to Dubai starting today, marking the first scheduled service to the destination since operations were suspended on February 28 due to the volatile regional situation.
According to a spokesperson for the airline, the service between Colombo and Dubai will restart on a restricted scale. Flight UL231 is scheduled to depart from Colombo for Dubai, while the return leg, flight UL232, will transport passengers back from Dubai to Colombo. The airline noted that while this marks a crucial step in restoring air connectivity, the schedule remains subject to change based on the evolving security landscape in the Middle East. Passengers are advised to verify their flight status before heading to the airport.
