CTD Clashes with Terrorists in Shah Latif Town, Karachi; 4 Terrorists Killed

KARACHI (HRNW) – Four terrorists were killed during an encounter between the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and militants in Shah Latif Town.

According to CTD sources, the deceased terrorists include Jaleel alias Fareed, Niaz alias King, and Hamdan alias Fareed, while the identity of one other killed terrorist is still being verified.

Two police officers were also injured in the clash. The wounded include Head Constable Muhammad Yousuf and Constable Raja Junaid, who are currently receiving medical treatment in hospital.

CTD officials said the operation was based on intelligence obtained after seizing 2,000 kg of explosives and arresting three terrorists earlier in January. The killed terrorists were reportedly shot by their own accomplices during the encounter.

The arrested terrorists are linked to the Fitna All India Basheer Zaib Network, and CTD authorities have stated that further operations in the area will continue.
