Islamabad (HRNW)- In the wake of the deteriorating security situation in the region and the recent attacks on Iran, the government of Pakistan has issued an emergency travel advisory for its citizens.
According to a spokesperson for the Foreign Office of Pakistan, Pakistani citizens should completely avoid unnecessary travel to Iran in view of the current situation. The advisory has directed Pakistanis living in Iran to be extremely cautious for their safety and avoid unnecessary movements.
The Foreign Office has further emphasized that Pakistani citizens in Iran should be in constant contact with the nearest Pakistani embassy and consulates. Contact numbers of relevant Pakistani missions have also been issued for the convenience of citizens and for emergency assistance.
Officials say that the situation is being monitored moment by moment and the safety of Pakistanis abroad is the government’s top priority. Citizens have been appealed to follow official instructions and contact diplomatic missions immediately in case of any emergency.
