Islamabad (HRNW)- During the National Assembly session, Pakistan Peoples Party member Abdul Qadir Patel strongly criticized the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) while expressing his views on the Gul Plaza tragedy in Karachi. However, during this time, First Lady and Member of Assembly Asifa Bhutto sent a slip to Abdul Qadir Patel through PPP member Shazia Marri.
After reading the slip, Abdul Qadir Patel’s tone suddenly became moderate and instead of making accusations, he talked about finding solutions to problems together with all political parties. He said that solutions to tragedies are possible not through political confrontation but through mutual cooperation.
The video of Shazia Marri giving the slip during the session went viral on social media, on which users also made interesting and sarcastic comments.
It should be noted that Abdul Qadir Patel was initially critical of the MQM regarding its responsibilities for the Gul Plaza tragedy, but after receiving the slip, his stance became significantly more moderate.
