Bajaur (HRNW) — On December 29, 2025, security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Khar area of Bajaur District targeting terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij.
During the operation, the terrorists’ hideout was effectively targeted, resulting in the elimination of five Khawarij operatives under Indian support. The deceased terrorists were involved in multiple attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.
Tragically, during the intense exchange of fire, Major Adil Zaman (36 years old, resident of Dera Ismail Khan District), who was leading his troops on the front lines, sacrificed his life in the line of duty. Major Zaman bravely confronted the enemy, achieving the highest honor of martyrdom in defense of the homeland.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists’ possession during the operation.
Security forces are continuing clearance and search operations in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence.
