US Defense Secretary Warns Iran Over Strait of Hormuz and Ceasefire Options

Islamabad (HRNW)- Former Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that the level of diplomacy being carried out by the Prime Minister and Field Marshal has rarely been seen in his entire diplomatic career.

Jalil Abbas Jilani said that during the first round of negotiations between Iran and the US, a consensus was reached on an agreement called the Islamabad MoU. However, he said that despite the preparation of a draft agreement during the negotiations, the overall problems could not be reduced.

He said that the biggest issue at present is the nuclear issue on which negotiations are stalled and this issue has become a major obstacle in the way of negotiations.

The former Foreign Secretary further said that he has rarely seen such diplomacy in the past at the level of diplomacy being carried out by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. He said that positive and far-reaching results of this diplomatic effort will definitely come out.
