“Hope US and Iran Will Continue Dialogue for Peace,” Says Deputy PM Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (HRNW): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, while addressing a press briefing on the conclusion of the high-level talks between Iran and the United States, described the negotiations as comprehensive and constructive. He expressed optimism that both nations would maintain the momentum of dialogue and uphold the ceasefire for regional stability.


Negotiation Details and Pakistan’s Facilitation

During the briefing, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar highlighted the key aspects of the diplomatic effort:

  • Delegation Leadership: He confirmed that the U.S. delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance, while the Iranian delegation was headed by Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

  • Pakistan’s Initiative: Dar clarified that these talks took place following a special request by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to which both nations responded positively. He noted that he, along with Field Marshal Asim Munir, actively assisted and facilitated the negotiation process.
