Karachi (HRNW)- The owner of a rent-a-car was brutally murdered and burned with acid, but the vehicle used by the deceased has not been traced yet.
According to details, the unidentified body found on April 2 in Karachi’s Nooriabad area has been identified. Police officials said that the deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Usman, who was running a rent-a-car business. The family identified the deceased from the clothes he was wearing and the watch he was wearing.
According to the initial police investigation, the deceased was subjected to the worst torture after being kidnapped, after which he was shot dead.
The accused also burned his face with acid to hide the identity of the deceased. Three 30-bore pistol shells were also recovered from the crime scene.
According to details, the deceased Usman had left Sherpao Colony on March 29 to go to a booking and last spoke to his mother on the phone at 3 am that night.
According to CCTV footage, he was seen at the toll plaza at 1:35 pm on the day of the murder, where he was driving himself, but later someone else was seen in the same vehicle.
A new twist came in the case when it was revealed that the deceased had secretly married and his wife and children have also been missing since the murder. A case of the deceased’s murder was registered at Quaidabad police station on March 31.
Police say that the vehicle used by the deceased has not been traced yet, however, the search for the accused is on and they will be arrested soon.
