Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar Ranks 24 Police Officers to SP Grade

KARACHI (HRNW): Sindh Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar has stated that departmental promotion is a recognition of hard work, integrity, and outstanding performance. He emphasized that it is incumbent upon police officers to fulfill their new responsibilities with a spirit of public service and the supremacy of the law.

The Minister shared these views while addressing a prestigious ceremony in Karachi, where 24 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP). During the event, the Interior Minister pinned the new ranks on the promoted officers and lauded their professional contributions.

Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar highlighted that the Sindh Government is taking serious steps to enhance the professional capacity of the police force, provide modern training, and strengthen a transparent accountability system. He directed the officers to adopt more effective and coordinated strategies for maintaining law and order, eradicating crime, and protecting the lives and property of citizens. He further clarified that there will be no compromise on merit and transparency, and that the newly promoted officers must work to strengthen the reputation of the Police Department.

On this occasion, Inspector General (IG) Sindh Javed Alam Odho remarked that the promoted officers are a valuable asset to the Sindh Police and will play a pivotal role in establishing peace and stability across the province. He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering public trust and improving professional standards. The ceremony was attended by senior police officials and the families of the promoted officers.
