Kuwait City (HRNW)- Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed that an Iranian attack targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in the country’s northern region, killing one worker and causing extensive damage to the facility.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, emergency response operations were launched immediately after the attack. Security forces and relevant government agencies cordoned off the affected area and began rescue and assessment activities.
Kuwaiti officials said no further details were immediately available regarding the identity or nationality of the deceased worker, while investigations are continuing to determine whether there were additional casualties or losses.
The Ministry of Defense stated that Kuwait’s armed forces remain on full alert and are prepared to take all necessary measures to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The statement also urged the public to rely only on official sources of information and avoid spreading or believing unverified reports and rumors.
The incident comes amid heightened security concerns across the Gulf region due to ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States. Recent attacks on military installations, energy infrastructure and commercial routes have further intensified regional instability.
