Pro-Palestinian Demonstrations Held in Britain and Tunisia Amid Gaza Conflic

Manchester/Bizerte (HRNW) – Large demonstrations were held in the British city of Manchester and the Tunisian city of Bizerte to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and call for an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

In Manchester, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters marched through the city carrying Palestinian flags and banners. Demonstrators called on the British government to reconsider its policies regarding Israel and take steps aimed at protecting the rights of Palestinians.

Videos shared by the Manchester-based group Friends of Palestine showed participants marching through various streets while chanting slogans in support of the Palestinian cause. Protesters also carried banners calling for an end to Israeli occupation.

The demonstration coincided with the 59th anniversary of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, known to Palestinians as the “Naksa,” after which Israel took control of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, a separate demonstration was held in the northern Tunisian city of Bizerte, where participants gathered at Shahid Habib Boukhtifa Park to protest the ongoing conflict and humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Protesters carried symbolic red-painted coffins to highlight civilian casualties and the humanitarian impact of the conflict. Participants urged the international community to take immediate steps toward achieving a ceasefire and facilitating humanitarian assistance for affected populations.

Observers note that demonstrations in support of Palestinians have continued in various countries around the world as the conflict in Gaza remains a major international concern. Many participants in these events have called for an end to hostilities, greater humanitarian assistance and efforts to protect civilian lives.
