Karachi (HRNW)- The operations conducted against encroachments in various areas of Karachi, including Malir district, are proving to be unsuccessful in providing relief to the citizens. Despite clear orders from the Commissioner Karachi and the Mayor Karachi, it was not possible to completely eliminate encroachments, due to which the citizens are facing severe difficulties.
According to sources, the district administration, including the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners, conduct operations against encroachments from time to time, but these operations have a temporary effect. As soon as the government teams return, the encroachment mafia regains control of the roads, footpaths and streets.
The main highways and internal roads of the city are filled with carts and carts, due to which not only the flow of traffic is being affected but also the path has become difficult for pedestrians. The most worrying situation is that ambulances and patients are facing severe obstacles in reaching the hospital, which can cause a major human tragedy.
Citizens say that the encroachment mafia has become so strong that it easily thwarts government operations, while the silence and alleged collusion of some quarters has also become a question mark.
Public circles have demanded that the Commissioner Karachi and the Mayor of Karachi take immediate notice and ensure permanent and strict measures instead of show-off actions so that the city can be freed from encroachments and real relief can be provided to the citizens.
