PPP MNA Abdul Qadir Patel Holds Jamaat-e-Islami and MQM Responsible for Karachi’s Decline

Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan Peoples Party Member of National Assembly Abdul Qadir Patel has said that for the last 35 years, Jamaat-e-Islami and MQM ruled Karachi and the responsibility for bringing the city to its current dire situation lies with these two parties. He said that the PPP is the only party that has fully provided financial assistance to the victims of various tragedies in Karachi.

Speaking during the National Assembly session, Abdul Qadir Patel said that instead of becoming the claimants of Karachi, one should admit one’s mistakes. He said that the buildings in which tragedies occurred were built during the tenure of these same parties and it has been admitted that the Muhajir nation was pushed back a hundred years.

The PPP leader said that tragedies and accidents are mentioned in the House but the name of the Baldia tragedy is avoided, where 360 people lost their lives by chaining the doors and no one was allowed to come forward for help.

Abdul Qadir Patel said that Karachi is no longer in your hands, so do not claim Karachi. He added that Karachi has now come into the hands of the PPP, but we do not have a magic wand, time and practical steps are needed to solve the problems.
