Tehran (HRNW)- Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that any ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz will be set on fire.
Ebrahim Jabbari, an adviser to the Iranian commander-in-chief, announced on state TV on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz is completely closed and ships entering the area will face a severe response.
Ebrahim Jabbari added that the Americans are anxious for the region’s oil, Iran will target their pipelines and prevent oil from being exported from the Strait of Hormuz.
According to experts, this move is likely to cause severe turmoil in the global oil market and disrupt global trade. The international community has appealed to Iran to refrain from and reduce tensions.
