Karachi (HRNW)– Exports from Pakistan to Gulf countries have been suspended. Terminal authorities have announced that Karachi Port terminals have ceased accepting export cargo destined for the Gulf region. This measure is intended to protect exporters from potential demurrage charges.
According to sources, clearing agents have also confirmed that air freight exports to Gulf countries have been halted, creating a significant bottleneck in trade.
Traders and exporters state that the inability to ship export goods under the current circumstances is severely impacting their businesses. They are urgently seeking guidance from the authorities to mitigate further financial losses.
This decision has been taken in light of the ongoing tense situation in the Middle East, with the primary objective being to minimize commercial losses and safeguard the interests of Pakistani exporters.
