Gul Plaza Tragedy: Only Bones Found in Rubble as Final Search Operation Nears Completion

Karachi (HRNW)- Senior Fire Officer Zafar Khan has said that after the Gul Plaza tragedy, most of the bodies are no longer found in the rubble, but only bones.

Talking to the media, Zafar Khan said that a fire broke out in the basement of the building once again, which was immediately extinguished. He said that the diesel tank had not been removed from the roof of the building, which caught fire while being removed, but it was brought under control.

The senior fire officer further said that the structure of the building has become weak and now only a search operation is left.

On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner South Javed Nabi Khoso told the media that the search operation is in the final stages and will be completed today. The operation is being carried out under the supervision of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and efforts are being made to end it as soon as possible.
