Karachi (HRNW) – Under the leadership of SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, District West Police Karachi carried out effective operations against criminal elements during the past week and arrested 94 suspects.
According to the police statement, the arrested suspects included:
- 23 street criminals
- 21 drug dealers
- 14 gutka and mawa sellers
- Other individuals allegedly involved in various crimes
Police stated that 7 encounters took place between police teams and suspected criminals, during which one police officer sustained minor injuries, while 10 suspects were injured and arrested, and one suspect was arrested without resistance.
District West Police also conducted operations against proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the arrest of 3 wanted suspects.
Police reported the recovery of the following items from the arrested individuals:
- 15 different types of pistols along with ammunition
- 1,182 grams of hashish
- 447 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine)
- 50 grams of heroin
- 460 kilograms of betel nuts
- 903 kilograms of gutka and mawa
In addition, police seized:
- 11 mobile phones
- 9 motorcycles
- 12 vehicles
- Cash amount
Police stated that these arrests were the result of effective strategies and ongoing operations against criminal elements across different police station jurisdictions in District West.
Cases have been registered against all arrested suspects at relevant police stations, and they have been handed over to investigation authorities for further legal proceedings.
