Karachi (HRNW)- Municipal Commissioner of New Karachi Town, Munawar Hussain Mallah, conducted a detailed tour of different areas of the town after the recent rains and personally inspected the drainage arrangements. The Municipal Commissioner was present in the field from 4 pm to 10 pm and ensured the drainage of rainwater from different places under his supervision.
On this occasion, Munawar Hussain Mallah said that Alhamdulillah, despite the rain, there was no waterlogging anywhere in New Karachi Town. He commended the hard work and passion of the local government staff in providing relief to the people in the severe cold and adverse weather.
The Municipal Commissioner further said that our top priority is to save the people from any kind of trouble, which is why the drainage process was started with the onset of rain and all the officers and staff were continuously present in the field. The flow of traffic was also not affected and water was not allowed to accumulate anywhere on the roads.
The local government staff of New Karachi Town continued the drainage process using excavators and other machinery, and the Municipal Commissioner, in the end, congratulated the staff and directed them to continue providing public service with the same spirit in the future as well.
