Zelensky Claims Russia Preparing to Deploy 30,000 Additional North Korean Troops

Kyiv (HRNW)- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that Russia is preparing to deploy an additional 30,000 North Korean troops to support its war against Ukraine.

According to media reports, Zelensky said that Pyongyang is also planning to send more ballistic missile launchers to Moscow to strengthen Russia’s war effort.

Zelensky made the remarks in a post on X, stating that Moscow has been preparing since last month to deploy additional North Korean forces in Russia’s Voronezh region, near the border area.

He claimed that Russia intends to bring in approximately 30,000 more North Korean troops, adding that preparations to receive them have been underway since June. Zelensky also alleged that North Korea is preparing to transfer additional ballistic missile launchers to Russia.

The Ukrainian president warned that the development poses a threat beyond Ukraine, saying Russia is helping North Korea gain real battlefield experience, improve its military capabilities, and enhance the effectiveness of its weapons through active combat.
