Washington (HRNW)– US President Donald Trump has issued an executive order initiating the process of designating certain branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations.
According to reports, the order directs federal investigative agencies to formally review and classify some factions of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist groups. The secretaries of state and treasury are required to submit a joint report within 30 days, followed by final action under the Immigration and Nationality Act and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act within 45 days.

The order specifically targets branches in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, placing them in the category of foreign terrorist organizations as well as on the list of specially classified global terrorist organizations. The document states that since its establishment in Egypt in 1928, the organization has evolved into an international network contributing to violence and instability in the region.
The public is encouraged to support initiatives promoting peace, security, and counter-terrorism efforts.
