Government Announces Doorstep Passport Delivery Service for Citizens

Islamabad (HRNW)- Good news for Pakistani citizens as the government has decided to introduce a major convenience by launching a doorstep passport delivery service across the country.

The Government of Pakistan has taken a principled decision to launch a new digital service aimed at delivering passports directly to citizens’ homes, fulfilling a long-standing public demand and improving access to essential services.

According to a private TV report, Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired an important meeting in which the progress of developing citizen services through a modern digital application was reviewed in detail.

The initiative aims to save citizens from long queues and repeated visits to passport offices, making the passport issuance process easier and more convenient.

During the meeting, all necessary procedures and new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the doorstep passport delivery service were finalized.

Officials stated that after the complete implementation of the digital system, the passport issuance process will become faster, more efficient, and more transparent.

The new service is expected to provide significant relief to citizens by modernizing passport-related services and improving public access through digital solutions.
