ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, has busted an organized gang allegedly involved in providing fake Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and Pakistani passports to Afghan nationals.
According to authorities, a significant quantity of forged documents, computerized records, official stamps, and specialized equipment was recovered during the high-profile operation. Officials stated that the syndicate operated an illicit network to manufacture national identity documents in exchange for exorbitant amounts of money.
Initial investigations reveal that authorities are currently tracking the wider network of the suspects and probing potential internal facilitators within relevant departments. Law enforcement officials reiterated that a strict, zero-tolerance crackdown will continue against all elements involved in compromising and exploiting the national identification system.
