QAU–HEC National Youth Seminar 2026: Youth and the Future of Pakistan*

Islamabad (HRNW)– Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), organized the National Youth Seminar “Youth and the Future of Pakistan” on 26 February 2026 at QAU, Islamabad. The seminar convened policymakers, academic leaders, media professionals, and students to deliberate on youth leadership, digital citizenship, institutional trust, and national cohesion.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Umar Saif, Dr. Fouzia Waqar, Mr. Talat Hussain, and Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar (SI). The event was attended by Nawabzada Mir Muhammad Zarain Khan Magsi as Guest of Honor and Ms. Wajia Qamar as Chief Guest.
On the occasion, two national-level creative competitions were formally launched:
•Short Video Competition: “Pakistan in Our Hearts; Stories that Bind Us”
•Painting Competition: “The Canvas of National Cohesion”
The deadline for submission of entries is 20 March 2026, while final results and announcement of winners will be made on 24 March 2026. Winners of both competitions will be awarded cash prizes.
Significance:
The seminar provided a national platform to align youth engagement with policy dialogue, higher education, and responsible media practice. It reinforced the importance of digital awareness, civic responsibility, and institutional trust in strengthening national cohesion.
The initiative created tangible avenues for youth participation encouraging constructive expression, creative excellence and the promotion of positive narratives that contribute to a shared national identity.
