LAHORE (HRNW) – The comprehensive performance report for the Punjab Assembly’s last two years has been released, highlighting a total of 169 bills presented and 144 successfully passed. During this period, the assembly convened for 38 sessions consisting of 154 individual sittings. The legislative breakdown reveals that 97 out of 110 government bills were approved, while 47 out of 59 private member bills were also sanctioned by the house.
Beyond legislation, the report details extensive parliamentary activity: 129 privilege motions were submitted, with 87 referred to committees and 9 disposed of. Additionally, out of 1,189 adjournment motions presented, 565 were addressed, and 124 resolutions were approved out of a total of 650. The oversight role of the assembly was also prominent, with 5,924 questions asked by members, of which 1,494 received formal answers. Furthermore, 407 call attention notices were submitted, resulting in 76 official responses from the government.
