Islamabad (HRNW)- A major development has come to boost defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, under which Pakistan will provide JF-17 Thunder fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.
According to sources, the two countries are in talks to convert $2 billion in Saudi loans into a deal to purchase JF-17 fighter jets. Under this potential deal, Saudi Arabia will acquire advanced JF-17 fighter jets from Pakistan, while the loan repayments will be converted into a new phase of defense cooperation.
According to defense experts, this deal can not only prove to be a major success for Pakistan’s defense industry, especially the JF-17 program, but will also further strengthen the strategic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Sources say that if the negotiations are successful, this deal can form the basis of a long-term defense partnership between the two countries, which will further enhance Pakistan’s defense capabilities and technology in the region and gain global recognition.
