ANF Conducts Crackdown on Drug Smuggling Near Educational Institutions and Across Pakistan

Karachi/Islamabad (HRNW): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a series of successful operations against drug smuggling near educational institutions and in various cities across Pakistan.

  • 8 suspects arrested during 5 separate operations
  • 83.94 kilograms of narcotics worth over PKR 6.8 million recovered

Operations Near Educational Institutions:

  • In Rais Goth, Karachi, 3 kilograms of ice were recovered from a suspect near a university
  • The arrested individual confessed to selling drugs to students

Other Notable Operations:

  • At Islamabad Airport, 548 grams of hashish were recovered from the shoes of a passenger bound for Dubai; suspect arrested
  • Near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, 74.4 kilograms of hashish recovered from a vehicle; 2 suspects arrested
  • In Ghauri Town, Islamabad, 3.6 kilograms of hashish recovered from a vehicle; 3 suspects arrested
  • Another operation in Ghauri Town yielded 2.4 kilograms of hashish from a suspect

Cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997, and investigations are underway, according to an ANF spokesperson.
