First Surgery of Acid Attack Victim Dr. Mah Noor Successfully Completed, Condition Improving

Karachi (HRNW)- Details regarding the health of acid attack victim Dr. Mah Noor have emerged as her first surgery has been successfully completed at a private hospital in Karachi.

Dr. Mah Noor, who sustained severe injuries in an acid attack in Quetta, underwent a surgical procedure during which dead and damaged skin was removed from the affected areas.

According to her family, her condition has improved following the operation; however, due to the risk of infection from acid burns, she has been placed in isolation under strict medical supervision.

Family members said that her treatment is being carried out in stages, including the removal of damaged skin and skin grafting procedures to restore affected areas.

The first surgery, performed on Tuesday, lasted more than eight hours.

Hospital sources said that plastic surgeons have completed an initial grafting procedure on Dr. Mah Noor’s face, while major reconstructive surgeries have not yet been undertaken.

Doctors stated that her condition is being closely monitored and further treatment will continue according to medical requirements.

According to sources, Dr. Mah Noor recently underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation for the third time, involving plastic surgeons as well as eye specialists. Several medical tests were also conducted as part of her ongoing treatment plan.

The governments of Balochistan and Sindh remain in regular contact with Dr. Mah Noor and her family and are monitoring the treatment process.
