Case Registered Against Saqib Chaddhar for Harassing Actress Momina Iqbal and Sharing Obscene Videos

LAHORE (HRNW) – The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has registered a formal case against Saqib Chaddhar following a complaint lodged by prominent actress Momina Iqbal. The suspect faces charges of cyber harassment, blackmailing, dissemination of obscene material, illegal surveillance, and issuing death threats.

According to official documents, the complainant stated that the suspect, Saqib Chaddhar, resorted to severe harassment after his marriage proposal was rejected. The complaint alleges that the suspect sent threatening messages, attempted character assassination, and persistently blackmailed her through various means.

The complaint further reveals that the actress’s alleged obscene videos and private data were distributed to various individuals without her consent, severely impacting her personal life and social reputation. During the initial inquiry, the NCCIA recorded statements from the complainant and other relevant individuals, while digital evidence, mobile phones, and other electronic devices have been forwarded for forensic examination.

According to authorities, preliminary technical analysis and available evidence warranted the registration of the case under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 (Amended 2025) and other relevant legal provisions. The NCCIA stated that the investigation will be conducted strictly on merit, evidence, and in accordance with the law, while further proceedings are underway.
