PTI Welcomes Iran-US Ceasefire, Praises Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts

Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has praised the government’s role in the successful diplomacy leading to the Iran-US ceasefire, calling the two-week truce a positive development and expressing hope for its full implementation.

In its statement, PTI said that war is never the solution to any problem, and that negotiations and dialogue remain the only effective way to resolve disputes. The party noted that history has repeatedly shown that wars bring only destruction and loss of life, which must be avoided.

According to the party, diplomacy and dialogue are essential for lasting peace in the region. PTI appreciated all parties involved in the ceasefire and particularly acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, while stressing the need for sustainable peace in the Middle East.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that Pakistan as a state is not dependent on any single individual and has a constitutional role to play. He said, “We appreciate Pakistan’s efforts to bring peace to the region.” He further added that Iran’s defense had surprised many observers and reiterated support for the Iranian people and Arab nations, stating that Pakistan should play its role in reining in Israel.

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said that although the government had not informed the opposition about the exact nature of its mediation role, the party welcomes the Iran-US ceasefire and hopes that it remains permanent, leading to lasting peace in the Middle East.

He added that whoever contributed to achieving this diplomatic milestone deserves appreciation and also expressed hope that the government would now reduce oil prices in light of the ceasefire.
