Gujarpura Police Arrest Two Suspects for Harassing College Students

LAHORE (HRNW): In a swift action following reports of harassment, the Gujarpura Police arrested two individuals accused of stalking and harrassing female students on Bhogiwal Road. According to a police spokesperson, the suspects—identified as Naveed and Umar—frequently targeted students commuting to and from college, subjecting them to verbal abuse and intimidation.

The arrests were made after video footage surfaced showing the suspects actively engaging in the harassment of young women. Following the operation, a formal case was registered against both individuals, and they have been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further legal proceedings.

SP Civil Lines, Chaudhry Azhar Ali, emphasized that the department maintains a “zero-tolerance policy” against street harassment, stalking, and the sexual exploitation of women. He reaffirmed that ensuring a safe environment for female citizens remains a top priority and that strict legal action will continue against those who violate public decency and safety.
