ISLAMABAD (HRNW): In a significant press briefing on Friday, February 27, 2026, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, disclosed that Pakistan’s security forces have conducted highly precise operations against 22 locations in Kabul, Nangarhar, Paktia, Khost, Kandahar, and Paktika. These intelligence-based strikes were part of the ongoing “Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq” (Wrath for the Truth), aimed at dismantling training camps and sanctuaries belonging to “Fitna al-Khawarij” (TTP) and its affiliates. The DG ISPR emphasized that the targets were strictly military in nature, including corps and brigade headquarters and ammunition depots, with extreme care taken to ensure zero civilian casualties.
The military spokesperson informed the media that during the ground and air engagements, enemy elements fled their positions, leaving behind the bodies of their fallen comrades. In accordance with the Geneva Protocol, the Pakistan Armed Forces have respectfully secured these remains. The operation followed a major escalation where the Afghan Taliban regime, acting in collusion with militant groups, launched unprovoked attacks at 53 locations along the border. Pakistan’s befitting response has resulted in the elimination of 274 insurgents and the destruction of 73 enemy posts and 115 tanks and armored vehicles.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry paid a glowing tribute to the brave sons of the soil, revealing that 12 Pakistani soldiers have embraced martyrdom while defending the motherland. Additionally, 27 personnel were injured, and one soldier is currently missing in action. Addressing the broader security landscape, the DG ISPR accused India of patronizing terrorism within Pakistan and issued a stern warning that those challenging Pakistan’s sovereignty must be prepared to face the consequences. He concluded by reiterating that the Afghan Taliban must choose between supporting international terrorist organizations or maintaining a relationship with Pakistan, as the state remains committed to responding to any aggression with full force.
