Karachi (HRNW)- Eminent religious scholar and Sheikh-ul-Islam Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has said that the failure to control the fire in a big city like Karachi is a regrettable question mark.
In his statement, Mufti Taqi Usmani said that there is an urgent need for a fair and transparent investigation into why timely assistance could not be provided to the fire incident in Gul Plaza. He termed the incident as a very tragic and shameful tragedy for the entire nation.
Mufti Taqi Usmani said that in a few hours, many precious lives were lost helplessly, while many middle-class traders suffered losses worth billions of rupees, which left them devastated. He said that it is the primary responsibility of the government to make security arrangements effective, fast and strong.
He paid tribute to those individuals and institutions who served to save human lives despite difficult circumstances. Finally, Mufti Taqi Usmani prayed that Allah Almighty grant the martyrs the highest ranks and provide the victims with a better compensation for this calamity.
