Karachi (HRNW)- Traders suffered losses worth billions of rupees due to a terrible fire that broke out in Gul Plaza late last night. Several fire brigade vehicles were present at the spot to extinguish the fire and continuous operations were continued, however, it proved difficult to control the fire.
According to fire brigade officials, Gul Plaza was declared dangerous when there were no signs of extinguishing the fire and deep cracks started appearing in the building. Security was tightened around the building in view of the seriousness of the situation.
In the face of the intensity of the fire and increasing fear, the affected traders gathered outside Gul Plaza and started giving loud calls to prayer. The echo of the calls to prayer turned the entire area into mourning, where every eye was tearful and every heart seemed to be in fear and anguish.
The traders say that their years of investment have been reduced to ashes due to this fire and they are suffering from severe mental anguish, while the authorities are being demanded to immediately compensate for the damage and conduct a transparent investigation into the incident.
