Karachi (HRNW)– In a highly unusual legal development, a citizen of Karachi has filed a petition in court seeking the registration of a criminal case against US President Donald Trump and three other prominent global leaders. The petition, moved by Advocate Jamshed Ali Khawaja, also names Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the head of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan, Hibatullah Akhundzada.
The application was filed under Sections 22-A and 22-B of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), requesting that authorities initiate proceedings against the named individuals under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Taking up the plea, the court has issued notices to the SSP Complaint Cell Keamari and the SHO of Docks Police Station, directing them to submit a detailed report on the matter by March 5, 2026. The petitioner maintains that these leaders should be held legally accountable, marking a rare attempt to invoke local criminal jurisdiction against high-ranking international figures.
