Washington (HRNW)- U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong statement against Iran, claiming that the Iranian military has been “completely destroyed” and is no longer capable of projecting power in the region as it once did.
According to international media reports, Trump made the remarks in a statement posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.
The U.S. president asserted that a significant portion of Iran’s navy and air force no longer effectively exist and claimed that Iran has been defeated and is now limited to issuing statements. He further stated that Tehran had wasted valuable time negotiating an agreement that could have benefited the country, adding that Iran would now have to face the consequences of that delay.
Trump also described Iran as the former “bully of the Middle East” and claimed that its era of regional dominance has come to an end.
The statement follows recent tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. On Monday night, a U.S. military Apache helicopter conducting a routine patrol crashed into the sea. President Trump blamed Iran for the incident and subsequently announced a strong response.
Following the incident, U.S. forces reportedly targeted locations in Iran’s Hormuzgan Province, including areas near Sirik, Qeshm Island, and Bandar Abbas.
According to Iranian state media, two water storage facilities in the Bamani area of Sirik were damaged in the attacks, disrupting the supply of drinking water to local residents.
Iran later launched attacks on U.S. military bases in the region, and videos allegedly showing missile strikes circulated widely on social media.
