KARACHI: (HRNW) Following the direct orders of SSP District South, Mahzoor Ali, the Gizri Police conducted a swift raid on an illegal shisha cafe in Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI. The action was prompted by a video circulating on social media that showed the establishment openly operating and promoting shisha flavors.
The police party targeted the “DN Hookah Shisha Cafe,” located on Plot No. 32-C, Lane 1, Rahat Commercial. During the operation, five individuals were apprehended, including the cafe manager identified as Kamran Shahid. According to police officials, the suspects were not only facilitating the illegal activity but were also actively using social media platforms to advertise various shisha flavors to the public.

During the raid, officers seized four hookahs/shisha pipes and five different types of flavors. A formal case (FIR No. 116/2026) has been registered at the Gizri Police Station under Sections 269, 278, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Further legal proceedings against the suspects are currently underway.
