KARACHI (HRNW) – A burglar shot himself dead inside a travel agency office located on Khalid bin Walid Road, adjacent to the busy Tariq Road commercial area, to evade arrest by the police. According to law enforcement officials, the incident occurred late at night when the suspect broke into the closed office of the travel agency. The owner of the travel agency, who was monitoring his shop remotely via CCTV security cameras, spotted the intruder’s suspicious activity and immediately alerted the police helpline ‘Madadgar 15’. A police mobile unit rushed to the scene and cordoned off the building, leaving the burglar with no escape route. Realizing he was trapped, the panicked burglar locked himself inside the office restroom and used a firearm to shoot himself in the head to avoid being apprehended. Upon breaking open the restroom door, the police recovered the body and shifted it to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for necessary legal formalities and an autopsy, while the process to identify the deceased burglar through biometric verification is currently underway.
