Karachi (HRNW) – New stringent measures have been implemented against double and illegal parking to improve traffic flow and establish road discipline. DIG Traffic Ahmed (Pir Muhammad Shah) stated that motorcycles found illegally parked in double or triple lanes will now have their wheels chained, and the chains will only be removed after an e-challan is issued. He further announced a ban on the entry of rickshaws into major markets, noting that immediate action will be taken against rickshaws and carts found parking illegally. The DIG Traffic clarified that these steps are being taken to streamline traffic for citizens, ensure order on the roads, and ease daily commutes. These regulations are effective across the city immediately, with traffic police personnel maintaining continuous surveillance to ensure compliance.
