Peshawar (HRNW)– Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has reacted to the recent crash of an Indian fighter jet Tejas during an air show in Dubai, saying that no one should celebrate another’s tragedy.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Afridi said, “One should never be happy over anyone’s sorrow. Do not rejoice even when an enemy dies; the deceased has still lost a life.”
It is worth noting that the Indian fighter jet Tejas crashed while performing stunts at the Dubai Air Show, resulting in the death of the pilot. Reports indicate that the crash occurred due to a technical fault, after which the air show was temporarily halted.

Commenting on PCB matters, Shahid Afridi said that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is taking the board in the right direction and new talent is emerging in Pakistan cricket. He added that some players are being rested while others are being given opportunities ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Afridi also welcomed the possible expansion of teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying that more teams would create more opportunities for local players.
