FIA Karachi Cracks Down on Human Trafficking Strict Action Announced Against Officials

Karachi (HRNW) The FIA ​​Director has decided to take strict action against officials involved in facilitating or protecting the accused in human trafficking and related crimes, including illegal migration.

This action will be taken under the Efficiency and Discipline Rules 2020, for which a circular has also been issued.

According to the circular, departmental and legal action will be taken against officers and officials involved in human trafficking or providing assistance in any crime related to it.

Along with this, further instructions have been given to the airport and seaport immigration authorities to ensure full implementation of the laws against these officers.

The circular also states that the airport and seaport authorities will have to follow the laws completely in denying entry to passengers, decisions to deport and other immigration actions.

The Deputy Director Immigration has been entrusted with the responsibility of strict monitoring of passengers coming and going from Karachi on a daily basis.

In addition, the Deputy Director Immigration will take steps to prevent illegal migration and corruption and will prepare a comprehensive report from time to time and submit it to the relevant authorities.

The circular further states that any untoward incident affecting passport control, public order, and institutional reputation should be immediately reported to the Director Karachi Zone and a report should be provided with details of the necessary steps to immediately remedy these incidents.

The operations carried out at all immigration check posts and migration trends will be analyzed and submitted to the zonal and headquarters for review.

Officers and officials have been directed to stay updated on the Travel Information Manual, travel requirements, visa regulations, and other relevant matters.

The relevant authorities should also be updated on emerging threats and reports of the Risk Analysis Unit. In case of non-compliance, strict action will be taken against the concerned officers and officials as per the Efficiency and Discipline Rules 2020.
