Tehran Rejects Trump’s Claims Regarding Commuted Death Sentences for Eight Women as “Fake News”

TEHRAN (HRNW): The Iranian judiciary has categorically dismissed claims made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the alleged release and halting of death sentences for eight women in Iran, labeling the assertions as entirely false.

Judiciary’s Rebuttal:

In an official statement, the Iranian judiciary clarified that there is no truth to the claims made by President Trump. It emphasized that the women in question were never sentenced to death in the first place. The statement further critiqued the U.S. leadership, remarking:

“Trump’s empty hands in the field are forcing him to fabricate successes through fake news.”

Background of the Dispute:

The rebuttal follows a series of social media posts by Donald Trump, in which he claimed that at his request, Iran had halted the execution of eight women and was in the process of releasing some of them. Iranian authorities have described these statements as “baseless and misleading,” accusing the American president of consistently making unverified claims.

Context of Regional Tensions:

This war of words comes at a sensitive time for international diplomacy. While the U.S. President has attempted to frame these alleged releases as a result of his administration’s pressure or mediation, Tehran maintains that no such legal or administrative actions were taken based on external demands. Iranian officials urged the international community to ignore what they termed “propaganda” aimed at scoring domestic political points.
