Karachi (HRNW)- Dr. Syed Amir Ali, a 2004 alumnus of Hamdard University, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Meezan Bank. This was announced in a press release issued by the university on Tuesday. Dr. Syed Amir Ali completed his MBA from Hamdard University in 2002, where he was awarded a gold medal for his outstanding academic performance. Later, he obtained a PhD in Business Administration. Dr. Syed Amir Ali is a CFA charterholder, a Chartered Certified Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law. He has also been an alumnus of Harvard Business School. Dr. Syed Amir Ali is an experienced Islamic banking professional, with over 20 years of experience in finance, treasury, corporate and investment banking. He has also held senior positions in several important domestic and foreign international organizations. Dr. Syed Amir Ali joined Meezan Bank in 2006 where he led the Corporate and Investment Banking Group. He also served as President and CEO of BankIslami in 2018.
