Islamabad (HRNW)- The national airline Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered into a major cargo partnership with the global aviation group Air France–KLM to enhance its international freight operations. The cargo agreement between PIA and Air France–KLM came into effect on January 15, under which PIA Cargo will gain access to Air France–KLM’s extensive global network.
This partnership is expected to significantly improve exports of Pakistani products and provide exporters with better access to international markets. Under the agreement, exporters will be able to utilize both PIA and Air France–KLM networks on a single airway bill, making cargo transportation more efficient and streamlined.
PIA Cargo has been connected to the Air France–KLM network through Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam, linking Pakistan to major European hubs including Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. The network also extends to major US cities such as New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Aviation experts say this agreement marks a major step forward in strengthening the cargo capabilities of the national airline and boosting Pakistan’s trade potential.
