Ulema, Mashaikhs Reaffirm Support for National Security, Reject Terrorism and Extremism

Islamabad (HRNW)- Prominent Ulema and Mashaikhs have announced their support for the state’s efforts to strengthen national security, stating that the entire Pakistani nation is indebted to the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs and ghazis and emphasizing that terrorism, extremism, sectarianism, and violence have no place in Islam.

The declaration came during a meeting of religious scholars chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution and the stability of Pakistan’s state institutions.

The meeting was attended by leading religious scholars, including Maulana Zulfiqar, Maulana Abdul Qadir Sikandri, Maulana Ayub Ansari, Maulana Iqbal Abbasi, Maulana Dr. Munir Ahmed, Maulana Dr. Muhammad Saleem Saeedi, Maulana Syed Jahangir Shah Saeedi, Maulana Dr. Saeed-ur-Rehman, Maulana Abu Bakr Siddique, Maulana Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Allama Sajjad Naqvi, Allama Akhtar Abbas, Maulana Waqas Majeed, Maulana Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Maulana Anis-ur-Rehman, Qari Muhammad Siddique, and Maulana Hassan Farooq.

The participants pledged to continue full cooperation with the Government of Pakistan in all positive initiatives and stressed the need for joint religious, educational, and social efforts to protect young people from misleading propaganda and extremist narratives.

The scholars stated that Islam is a religion of peace, moderation, tolerance, and respect for human life, adding that any act that threatens the state, society, or public peace is unacceptable. They also expressed complete solidarity with the government and security forces in efforts to counter terrorism and other destructive activities.

The meeting concluded with prayers for the martyrs, wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured, and a renewed commitment to safeguarding Pakistan against all internal and external threats.
