Washington (HRNW)- A former US military intelligence officer has made controversial remarks in an interview, suggesting that Iran should target Israel’s water infrastructure in the event of conflict.
According to media reports, ex-US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter appeared on a social media program called “Works Dialogue,” where he criticized Israel’s ongoing military and political actions.
During the interview, Ritter stated that if he were Iranian, he would target facilities that produce and supply desalinated drinking water in Israel, claiming it would have a major strategic impact.
He further added that, in his view, the elimination of Israel is necessary, describing it in highly critical terms during the discussion.
The remarks have circulated widely on social media and have drawn attention due to their extreme nature and the background of the individual making them.
