MIRPURKHAS (HRNW): Police have apprehended the primary suspect, Abid Laghari, in connection with the tragic suicide and harassment case of a medical student in Mirpurkhas. Official documents reveal a significant administrative lapse, as the suspect was an active government primary school teacher in Tando Allahyar while simultaneously working as a pharmacy lecturer at a private medical college for the past two years. In response to the arrest, the Sindh Education Minister has officially suspended the teacher and issued a show-cause notice, asserting that individuals with criminal mindsets will not be tolerated within the education department. Simultaneously, the preliminary post-mortem report of the student has been released, confirming that a bullet entered the left side of her chest, fatally damaging the heart before exiting the body, leading to her death within an hour of the injury. Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to uncover the full extent of the harassment that led to this devastating outcome.
