Sindh Govt Makes Pre-License Driving Training Mandatory Across the Province

Karachi (HRNW) — The Government of Sindh has made pre-license driving training mandatory for all individuals seeking a driving license in the province. The decision was taken during the 50th meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Policy Board, chaired by Murad Ali Shah.

The meeting also decided that HTV and LTV driver training schools will be established across Sindh, and no applicant will be issued a driving license without undergoing proper training. The government aims to train and license 100,000 drivers over the next five years.

Initially, the training centers will be set up in collaboration with Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority at the following institutions:

  • Government College of Technology, SITE, Karachi
  • Government Polytechnic College, Dadu
  • Government Vocational Training Institute, Sukkur
  • Government Institute of Business and Commercial Education, Naushahro Feroze

Considering the higher demand in Karachi, larger and more advanced training centers are also planned. Each center will feature multimedia classrooms, computerized theory labs, dedicated HTV and LTV simulators, practice yards, on-road training facilities, on-site licensing desks, support workshops, and comprehensive safety infrastructure.
