Major Drug Smuggling Attempt Foiled In Karachi: Smuggler Caught With Hashish Strapped To Body

KARACHI (HRNW)- In a major crackdown against narcotics trafficking, the Keamari District Police successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs into the city, seizing over four kilograms of high-grade hashish.

According to SSP Keamari, Amjad Sheikh, the operation was carried out by the Mochko Check Post police during a routine patrol. The law enforcement team intercepted a suspicious individual, identified as Abdul Bari, and discovered the contraband during a thorough search.

The investigation revealed a sophisticated yet daring smuggling method: the suspect had strapped packets of hashish directly onto his body to evade detection while traveling on public passenger buses. SSP Amjad Sheikh further disclosed that the drug trail originated in Quetta, moved through Hub Chowki, and was intended for distribution across various neighborhoods in Karachi.

A formal case has been registered against the accused at the Mochko Police Station, and a rigorous interrogation is underway to dismantle the wider network behind this inter-provincial smuggling ring.
