Karachi youth Rehan Jalil’s AI security company Securiti AI was acquired by American company Veeam Software for $1.7 billion. After the acquisition, Rehan Jalil will take over the position of Veeam’s President of Security and AI — Rehan Jalil is not a young man from Karachi who is ready to join the standard foundation, but a hardworking soldier who did not rely on any family facility or government support other than his belief, passion and innovation. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from NED University of Engineering & Technology in Karachi Pakistan, he set off on a journey of education and experience abroad.

He then established himself in the field of technology by graduating from Purdue University in the United States with a master’s degree and Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

The reality is that Pakistan is in an environment where merit is being devalued, corruption is becoming a daily story, and young talent receives little or no government patronage or attention. At a time when the social system itself is becoming an obstacle to talent, Rehan said with determination: “I will show that the youth of Pakistan, the talent of Pakistan can make a place on the global stage.”
His first major destination was Viacourse — a company he founded, which was later acquired by the American company Tellabs. Then he founded a cloud security firm called Elastica, which was acquired by the American company Blue Coat Systems for about $280 Million.

Then his company Securiti AI was born — a technology company that works on the basis of a “Data Command Center,” that is, ensuring data security, discipline and governance in organizations’ sensitive data, cloud services, SaaS Apps and artificial intelligence systems.

In October 2025, the American company Veeam Software bought the company for around “$1.7 billion” — a historic achievement, which marks a bright day for the Pakistani tech ecosystem.

After this deal, Rehan Jalil will get the position of President of Security and AI at Veeam — meaning that he is not only the founder of the company but has now become a leader in data and AI security on a global scale.

Where dreams arise, that is, Rehan’s story is actually a message for Pakistani youth that if you have ever wondered why merit is low, why jobs are given based on relationships or money, and corruption has become the rule — then Rehan Jalil shows us a way.

The first way: “Dream, dare.” Rehan started his journey from Karachi, dreamed of going global, and went in search of it.

Second path: Act, “Work Hard”. They did not wait for educational facilities, nor did they wait for the government, nor did they wait for a long series — they took the initiative themselves, gained knowledge, worked, and embarked on the path of innovation.

Third path: “Passion and persistence.” Difficulties, obstacles, rebellion within the environment — all these may be your part, but if the determination is strong, the path is made.

Fourth path: “Bring The Name of The Country To Light.” Do not make your success just personal — make it the identity of the country. Rehan has done this: he is the youth of Pakistan, a symbol of Pakistan’s talent.

Fifth path: “Move forward, become a leader.” When you succeed, become a light yourself — set an example for other youth, try to change the environment, talk about merit, against corruption, in support of talent.

This story is not just about a business milestone, but about “Hope, Ability, Honor And Determination”. A young man said: “If there are few roads in my country, then I will make my own road” — and that is exactly what he did.

If you have a passion, if you have thought that you have to become something, to show the world something, then this is the time to turn your inner dream into reality. Rehan Jalil has proven that Pakistan’s youth, Pakistan’s talent, are no less in front of the world. Rise, work hard, be wise, and give your country the place it deserves.
