“The Entire World Cannot Reopen the Strait of Hormuz”: Iranian Supreme Leader’s Advisor Mohsen Rezaee Issues Bold Warning

Tehran, Iran (HRNW)- Amidst escalating global maritime tensions, Mohsen Rezaee, a member of the Iranian National Security Council and advisor to the Supreme Leader, has issued a stern warning regarding the strategic Strait of Hormuz. He asserted that Iran possesses the absolute capability to close the world’s most vital maritime chokepoint, claiming that “the entire world combined” would be unable to reopen it once shut.

Rezaee highlighted the tactical advantage Iran holds due to the geography of the passage, noting that it takes any vessel approximately 7 to 8 hours to enter and exit the other side of the Strait. He emphasized that this timeframe ensures Iran’s continued and absolute control over the passage, making it a nearly impossible challenge for any international force to override. This statement comes at a critical time as international concerns grow over global energy security and the safety of commercial navigation in the region.
